Meeting of the Board of Trustees - October 14, 2025 7:00 P.M.

Call to Order (7:02 PM)

 Attendance - Present: Roger McCollum, Rene McCollum, Jennifer Garden {arrived at 7:04}, Megan Harding, Amy McGuire and Janet Clark- Library Director. Absent: Jordyn Stevens

 Determination of Quorum: Yes

Community Concerns - NONE

Guests - NONE

Approval of Minutes

● Amy McGuire moves to approve the meeting minutes from September 9, 2025. Megan Harding seconds. All Trustees vote aye. Motion passes.

Approval of Financial Reports

● The August financial reports will be approved at the November meeting. There was a $681.82 discrepancy in the income and expenses on the Land and Building account report and the income and expenses on the detailed spreadsheet; Janet Clark researched and presented her findings, but we were unable to approve at this meeting as it was not on the agenda  Jennifer Garden moves to approve the September 2025 financial report. Rene McCollum seconds. All Trustees vote aye. Motion passes.

Director’s Report - Director’s Report was reviewed.

● Janet Clark is looking into a grant from T-Mobile that is designed to support projects that enhance community spaces, and a design plan needs to be submitted with the grant application. Roger McCollum will check with local contractors in regards to obtaining design plans for repair/replacement of the retaining wall in the front of the library and a possible sidewalk in the back to make the back patio wheelchair accessible. ● Roger McCollum will also contact someone who possibly will be able to do snow removal for the library. He will also research the best brand of salt or other substance to be used on sidewalks.

Old Business -

● Update on Sexual Harassment Training and OMA Certification - Janet Clark reminded Trustees to complete the sexual harassment training and certification.

New Business -

● Tax Levy Request - Janet Clark will submit a Tax Levy for the year 2025 in the amount of $174,781.18. Megan Harding moves to approve the Tax Levy in the amount of $174,781.18. Amy McGuire seconds. All Trustees vote aye. Motion passes. Board President Roger McCollum and Board Secretary Rene McCollum signed this request. Future Business -

● Patron Appreciation Holiday Event - This event will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 5pm-7pm. The horse drawn carriage rides will also run from 5pm-7pm. Trustees should bring their raffle baskets to the library no later than the week Thanksgiving. Adjournment - (8:03 PM) Rene McCollum moves to adjourn. Jennifer Garden seconds. All Trustees vote aye. Motion passes.
