What's New
If you like to read, are interested in what others have to say about books, and enjoy getting together with neighbors for a great chat, good coffee, and tasty treats, consider becoming a part of a new Malta book club.
An information and organizational meeting has been set for 7 pm on Tuesday, April 24, at Malta Library. We'll discuss a clever name for the group, establish a monthly meeting day and time, pick some early reads, and consider other things the group might like to do.
The library hopes to bring in an author or two throughout the year to help enhance discussion times.
Any questions may be addressed to Sylvia Maconaghy at 825-2049 or to Peggy Wogen at 825-2525 (library) or 757-9941 (cell).
Adults, men and women, are all invited.
Library staff are working to add to our programming by having a monthly Legos Day where kids of all ages can come in and be creative. While the library has made some purchases toward this, due to the cost, our budget does not allow for us to purchase the number of Legos needed to meet the demand. (Just stop by the kid's room some day to see what they are playing with on the floor.) So, if you have Legos left from when the kids were still at home and would be willing to donate them to this program, please drop them off at the library. We are also seeking monetary donations to help with purchasing themed sets. Stop by the circulation desk for a list of items and cost; select what you would like to fund. Thank you for your consideration in making this a worthwhile venture.
